Differential Protein Expression in Exponential and Stationary Growth Phases of Mycobacterium avium subsp. hominissuis 104

چکیده

Mycobacterium avium complex (MAC) is the most common non-tuberculous mycobacterium (NTM) and causes different types of pulmonary diseases. While genomic transcriptomic analysis 104 (M. 104) has been extensive, little known about proteomics M. 104. We utilized technology to analyze changes in whole proteome during exponential stationary growth phases. found 12 dys-regulated proteins; up-regulated protein hits phase were involved aminopeptidase, choline dehydrogenase, oxidoreductase, ATP binding, while down-regulated proteins acetyl-CoA acetyltransferase, universal stress protein, catalase peroxidase, elongation factor (Tu). The differently expressed between phases implicated metabolism response, pointing functional adaptation cells environment. Proteomic could participate understanding course infection, mechanisms virulence, means survival, possible targets for treatment.

A comparative study of Mycobacterium avium subsp. avium and Mycobacterium avium subsp. hominissuis in experimentally infected pigs

BACKGROUND Mycobacterium avium subsp. avium (Maa) and Mycobacterium avium subsp. hominissuis (Mah) are opportunistic pathogens that may infect several species, including humans and pigs. Mah is however more frequently isolated from pigs than Maa, and it is unclear if this is due to difference in virulence or in exposure to the two organisms. Clinical isolates of each subspecies were administere...

Forty percent of respondents who would not eat AI-infected chicken cited religious prohibition to eating dead animals. Seven respondents did not believe AI exists at all and viewed the outbreak situation as a diversionary tactics from the 2007 presidential...

Firm evidence indicates that the fi fth and sixth cholera pandemics were caused by the classical biotype whereas the most extensive and ongoing seventh pandemic is caused by the El Tor biotype. Since the onset of El Tor dominance in 1961, the classical strains have been gradually replaced by the El Tor strains and are now believed to be extinct. However, reports from ...
